What Is Paediatric Occupational Therapy?

Paediatric OT is therapy that supports children to participate in everyday activities that form the building blocks of independence, including:

  • Fine Motor Skills – writing, cutting, using zippers
  • Gross Motor Skills – balance, posture, core strength
  • Executive Functioning – planning, focus, problem solving
  • Sensory Processing – managing loud noises, busy spaces, or seeking input
  • Emotional Regulation – big feelings, meltdowns, transitions
  • Self Care Skills – toileting, dressing, brushing teeth
  • Social Participation – play skills, friendships, turn-taking

We use play led, evidence based strategies to help kids overcome challenges and reach meaningful goals in their day to day world.
