Total Health Choice provides quality, compassionate allied health services to the community of Carrum Downs, Victoria.

Our clinicians are mobile and visit people in the comfort of their homes where we can have the biggest impact on their daily function. Total Health Choice has been providing the community of Carrum Downs with professional physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and exercise physiology services since 2011. Our services cater to adults who are either living with a physical or neurological disability, age-related decline in function or mobility, or are undergoing post-surgical rehabilitation.

Physiotherapy Services

Our Physiotherapy services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual we work with.

Our Physiotherapists work with their clients to improve mobility, functional strength, and conditioning, which in turn enhances our clients’ independence both at home and in the community.

We are experienced in working with individuals who have physical or neurological disabilities, (such as stroke, cerebral palsy, MS, MND, parkinsons disease), musculoskeletal conditions, mobility decline and experiencing falls, chronic pain and other conditions.

We conduct comprehensive assessments and are experienced in submitting reports to the NDIS to justify reasonable and necessary funding for physiotherapy.

We provide falls risk assessments and prevention services to identify and reduce our clients’ risk of falling. We can also provide manual handling training to protect carers and clients from injury.

For aged care facilities, we offer brokered physiotherapy services and become an integral part of their healthcare team. We handle all scheduling, compliance, recruiting, and leave coverage, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of care.

Occupational Therapy Services

Our amazing team of Occupational Therapists assist individuals in multiple ways, including conducting home assessments to assess functional capacity and make recommendations, identifying equipment requirements and need for assistive technology. They are also qualified to do assessments and recommendations for home modifications and reviewing supports required to be able to live a meaningful life.

We also advocate for NDIS participants and submit reports for new assistive technology (such as wheelchairs, home chairs, mechanical beds and stair lifts).

Furthermore, our OTs focus on skill building to help individuals improve coordination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and generally build capacity for independent living. Ultimately, our goal is to enhance the quality of everyday life and allow individuals and their families to enjoy what matters most to them.

Exercise Physiology Services

At Total Health Choice, we provide a highly skilled exercise physiology team that provides clinical exercise interventions.

We primarily deliver our EP services under the NDIS, which is most often home based, however hydrotherapy or gym based programs are also a common option.

Our Exercise Physiologists can aid those who have current injuries, have received a medical diagnosis, are at risk of particular medical conditions, require support for chronic diseases or injuries, or need assistance in restoring their optimal health and function.
