The fracture healed. That is not the problem. The problem is that for six weeks she did not walk anywhere, and she has come out the other side of it slower, weaker and frightened, and the discharge from the fracture clinic was a piece of paper that said follow up with your GP.
Roughly one in three people who break something in a fall never get back to the level they were at before it. Not because of the break. Because of the six weeks after the break, and because nobody was watching them.
